Garniers Beach

FORT WALTON BEACH NEIGHBORHOOD

About Garniers Beach

Garniers Beach is an established waterfront neighborhood in Fort Walton Beach set along Garnier Bayou, a sheltered arm of Choctawhatchee Bay on the north side of the city.

The area grew up in several additions over the decades, so the homes vary widely — mid-century ranches, updated bayou-front houses and newer custom builds. What ties them together is the water: many properties have bayou frontage with private docks and direct access out to the bay, which is a rare combination at Fort Walton Beach prices.

The bayou is calm water, which suits smaller boats, paddleboards and fishing, and it is a short run out to the larger bay. The location is convenient to Eglin Air Force Base, schools and the city, with the Gulf beaches on Okaloosa Island about fifteen minutes away. For buyers who want a dock more than a dune, this is one of the best-value waterfront pockets in the county.
