Rocky Bayou

Rocky Bayou is an established waterfront area in Niceville centred on the bayou of the same name, taking in the Rocky Bayou Country Club Estates neighborhoods developed over several phases.

Homes range from mid-century houses to updated and custom-built residences, many on large lots with mature oaks, and a number with bayou frontage and private docks. The country club and golf course anchor the area, and Rocky Bayou State Park sits nearby.

The water here is sheltered, which makes it well suited to smaller boats, kayaks and fishing, with a run out to Choctawhatchee Bay when you want it. Combined with Niceville’s schools and the short drive to Eglin, it is one of the more desirable established addresses in the area — and considerably better value than comparable waterfront on the Gulf side.
